Most calcium ammonium nitrate is used as a chemical fertilizer. Fertilizer grade CAN contains roughly 8% calcium and 21-27% nitrogen. CAN is preferred for use on acid soils, as it acidifies soil less than many common nitrogen fertilizers .
Calcium ammonium nitrate is used in some instant cold packs as an alternative .Calcium ammonium nitrate has seen increasing use in improvised explosives.

Applications:
The product is a water soluble fertilizer containing reay available Nitrate Nitrogen and available Calcium to improve the productivity of the crop. It is suitable for use in greenhouses, drip irrigation systems, foliar sprays and large-area farmland. It improves the soil and granulates the soil making it anti-caking. It can extend florescence, spurs the root, then stem and leaf to grow normally, guarantees fruits in fresh color and increase carbohydrate contents in fruit when apply to crops, flowers fruits and vegetables.
